It’s finally here!
My Recovery Giveaway!
I know I’ve been promising this for ages and it might be a bit of anticlimax but I can’t afford a really extravagant giveaway so I hope y’all appreciate my intentions :-)
In the box: - Cocoa butter cream, for fading self-harm scars. - A butterfly tattoo, to use in a similar way to The Butterfly Project. - A non-metal hair elastic. When I was in hospital, I would use this in place of cutting by snapping the band against my skin - it gave some release without actually harming myself. - Nail dip usually used to prevent nail biting, but it’s incredibly useful for stopping purging if you use it. - A teddy, just for comfort. - A de-stress facemask. - A set of bath bombs, to treat yourself and give yourself a pampering. - A small canvas to paint on when you’re in need of distraction. - (Not pictured) A set of dot stickers, similar to the ones I use, that you stick around the house and when you see an item with a sticker, you pay yourself a compliment until it becomes a natural habit.
I’ve tried to make the tool kit unisex :-)
I know this isn’t anything cool like an iPhone or some cool clothes, but these things and the techniques you can learn from them really helped me in recovery and I hope they can do the same for you. These items aren’t expensive, and they’re available probably wherever you are, so if you don’t win, but you can see how these items would help you, I urge you to buy a similar recovery tool kit :-)
In order to be entered, just reblog and you can reblog as many times as you like to up your chances because I’llbe picking via a draw. It’d be nice if you follow me, because if you’re in recovery and wanting to win this, I think my blog could help you, but it’s not a necessity :-)

only-by-night:

Don´t trust what people look like because you never know what´s going on inside of them. The ugliest girl might have the most beautiful soul. The most boring guy might have a thousand different worlds inside of his head. The prettiest girl might have the ugliest thoughts. No one is what they seem.

Every time I lose weight the mirror destroys it. Because the longer I look at myself, the fatter I look.

Scale: You´ve lost weight!

Me: Omg, thank god.

Mirror: Why do you still look so fat? The scale is a liar!

Me: :(

I’ve heard people say Miley Cyrus transforming her body and losing weight isn’t impressive because she can afford the best nutritionist, and best coaches and whatnot. Shut the fuck up. She still had to DO all the work. Money didn’t get her this body, willpower did.

YES SERIOUSLY^^
Same with VS models. Those girls have to work out and eat right like the rest of us, its not like they magically become fit because they have money.
You don’t need a nutritionist or a personal trainer to lose weight.. Honestly its just another excuse people use to make themselves feel better and justify their shitty choices and laziness.

^Agreed. It is of course probably a little bit more motivating, but you don’t need a personal trainer or nutritionist to lose weight

intake

I think i’m rounding up on some of these to be safe….

veggie chicken nuggets and a strawberry- 120 calories

veggie turkey- 100 calories

diet coke- 0 calories

soy chocolate milk-65 calories

cup of fruit/toppings and dash of froyo at work- 350 calories??

green apple- 100 calories

egg whites and vegan cheese- 55 calories

total: 790 calories

**worked for five hours on my feet**

Going to have 2 strawberries and a couple rasberries before i go to bed. still feeling really guilty about all that i ate. I feel like I underestimated what I had at work….. and I’m scared that my actual intake is more than this. ah, i wish it didn’t bother me so much.

I won’t be able to go to the gym tomorrow either because I lost my pass, which means i have to wait until sunday :(
